A 3" inch core adapator kit for HP DesignJet T850, T950, T930, T1530, Z2600, Z6 & Z9 Printers and T850, T950, T2300, T2500 & T2530 Multifunctional Wide Format Printers - extra roll adapters makes changing paper types faster and simpler. This handy adapator kit will enable the user to load not only 2" inch core (50mm) standard paper rolls, but also rolls with a wider 3" inch (76mm) core using the existing spindles that came with the machine. The kit contains two blue adaptors which fit onto your spindle end caps allowing 3 inch (76mm) core media rolls to fit snugly. We also stock extra DesignJet spindles which can be handy when you want to be ready to change rolls quickly. Why does paper come on two different roll core sizes? Heavier weight (thincker) papers tend to have more curl and therefore to eliminate curl towards the end of the roll, the manufacturers choose a larger core. This does mean the the rolls are wider in diameter and therefore do not fit all machines, namely the smaller HP printers. These adaptors will fit the following HP DesignJet Printers: T850 T950 T920 T930 T1200 T1300 T1500 T1530 T1700 T2300 T2500 T2530 Z2600 Z5400 Z5600 Z6 Z9 These models all have a decent size cavity around the paper spindles meaning that some larger and longer length rolls will fit i.e. 91mt and sometimes longer. The larger the roll, the heavier it will be and the more weight will be held by the spindle - we recommend sticking to the HP specification sheet listing of maximum length rolls for your model to avoid damage to your printer - you can check the specification of your printer for this recommendation.
